80's Were the Best!

I had the pleasure of watching the latest “Back to the Futuresque” film, Hot Tub Time Machine. If I were two elderly, overpaid movie critics, I would have given this film Two Thumbs Up. It was hilarious. With numerous songs, quotes, and references to the greatest decade in the last 200 years, this movie brings out the younger side in all of us. The Wall Street Journal blows some bubbles and chimes in on the whole ‘Hot Tub Time Machine’ splash. “It has the good fortune to come on the heels of ‘The Hangover,’ the surprise hit of 2009 that also happened to be a raunchy comedy.” Join the wave on March 26th and flashback to the 80s.

Okay, so the title sucks, that’s for sure.

John Cusack’s comedy follows a group of burned out 30-something BFFs who’ve drifted apart since high school. Trying to relive their younger years, they take a trip to Pine Valley Lodge, home of their teenage memories. After a night of vodka and Red Bulls in a hot tub, they find themselves sent back to the 80s. Now, they have the opportunity to relive their fun-loving past.

I don’t know about the whole time traveling in a hot tub concept, but show me where to go, cuz I’m down for another ‘back to the future.’
