Menudo’s Ricky Martin Finally Comes Out

After years of speculation over his sexual orientation, Ricky Martin announced today on his website that he is actually gay. I know, you were shocked. Moment of silence. Okay, now let’s get back to what’s really important to us. In an effort to always bring you the best of the 80s, riddle me this. What 80′s cartoon theme song did Ricky Martin sing? Anyone???

It’s “Rubic-the Amazing Cube” when he was with Menudo. Anyone even know what that was? Yeah…me neither.

Ahhh, Dane Cook in My Best Friend’s Girl. Need I say more? Well, yes, I can. But I’ll just leave you with a little of John Hiatt’s ‘Everybody Needs a Little Faith’ 1987 hit that was featured on the soundtrack.

Rick Astley’s ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’

Out of all the songs…Rick Astley’s Never Gonna Give You Up. Pop artist from the 80s. Definition of bad taste. And worst part is – Can’t. Get. This. Freakin’. Song. Outta. My. Head. (!) OMG, and the video, so painful…

Never gonna give you up
Never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
Never gonna make you cry
Never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you

What song is on REPEAT in your head?

Kung Fu What?! Karate Kid 2010

Ah, Daniel-san. Honestly, who thinks this Karate Kid remake (which at one point was redubbed ‘The Kung Fu Kid’) has any potential to live up to the 80s classics? Judgement day is June 11, 2010. And Will Smith’s son as the lead? Jackie Chan’s in it too, shocker. I don’t know about you guys, but I’ve been dreading the trailer. Oddly enough, it doesn’t seem that bad. Check it out.

A Splash from the Past… ‘Hot Tub Time Machine’

Okay, so the title sucks, that’s for sure.

John Cusack’s comedy follows a group of burned out 30-something BFFs who’ve drifted apart since high school. Trying to relive their younger years, they take a trip to Pine Valley Lodge, home of their teenage memories. After a night of vodka and Red Bulls in a hot tub, they find themselves sent back to the 80s. Now, they have the opportunity to relive their fun-loving past.

I don’t know about the whole time traveling in a hot tub concept, but show me where to go, cuz I’m down for another ‘back to the future.’
