Bring on the Front!

I was watching “Law Abiding Citizen” last night and one of the scenes takes place in a prison cell, where Gerard Butler’s character asks for his music. He starts eating and then proceeds to kill a man with a steak bone to some pretty cool music. I did a little research to find out what the song was, and wouldn’t you know it, it is from The Who. Enjoy the song and check out the movie “Law Abiding Citizen”!

We Are The World 2010: We’re not even South Jersey…

I don’t know if you had the chance to check this out yet:

but in my opinion it is a slap in the face to the original. Sure, the song is chock full of A-list celebs and singers, but there is something missing from this version: heart. It is apparent that this version is done by people who are singing more for their careers than for the people in need. And the worst part? Look no further to a delightful intermission of listening to LL Cool J, Snoop Dogg, Jaime Foxx and their friends try rapping on top one of the most important songs of the 80s. Does everything need to have rap in it to make it current? I would think that for a song that became a personifying face of human relief would have been taken more seriously, but thats just my 2 cents….
